French Press Cold Brew
Just as simple and delicious as regular French Press. This method is our go to drink during the summer time.
Making the perfect French Press Cold Brew Coffee requires: the right equipment, coffee grind size, water temperature, coffee amount and right brewing time.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Kettle / Water 4 ½ cups or 1050 grams (Room Temperature)
Coffee Beans 150 g ( Recommended: Coarse Grind)
BREWING TIME: 10-14 hours
SERVING SIZE: 2 - 3
For this specific brewing method, water should be at room-temperature. We would like for the coffee to extract over a long period of time this is why the temperature is approximately 74 degrees fahrenheit.
LET’S GET STARTED:
Using the digital scale, weigh your coffee. For this specific brewing method we recommend keeping a 1:7 ratio. This means that for every 150 grams of coffee to 4.5 cups (or 1050 grams) of water.
Place the grind coffee into the empty press (150 g of Coarse Grind). Give the press a little shake in order to distribute the coffee evenly across the bottom.
Pour the water (Room-temperature) until you reach all the way to the top (1050 g). Use a spoon and submerge it (do not stir), making sure the water comes into contact with all the grounds.
Place the plunger on top and let the coffee continue brewing without pressing it down. This will allow the water and coffee to reintegrate for about 14 hours. Do not put cold brew mixture in the refrigerator while it’s brewing.
Press the plunger down on the French Press once the time is up.
Pour all the coffee brewed into a large Jar. It is recommended to leave it in the refrigerator for a few hours before drinking it.
Enjoy this fresh cup of Coffee!
